When larger companies use an outsourcing approach to development, there is a need to find, hire, and then manage contractors. This presentation will engage in a discussion on effective ways to move through the contracting cycle when the development is agile and DevOps. This will be based on experience as both a contractor and as a federal employee. The best methods to keep a consistent culture and commonality are described.
Managing to deliverables that the contractor must deliver are also important while maintaining the collaboration and coordination required in any agile development processes.
